Website redesign and rebuild work

Our work includes redesigning The Stairlift Store website and rebuilding BriCargo Group's website through a rebrand. These two projects show how we approach website structure, useful content and changes to an existing site.

The Stairlift Store: clearer structure and buying guidance

Webbies redesigned The Stairlift Store website for a clearer structure and carried out SEO work. The work connected service pages with buying guidance, including pricing and comparison information, through stronger internal links.

Forms, calls to action and mobile contact options were also improved. The design decision was to connect the information people need while choosing a stairlift with a clear route to an enquiry. It is an example of redesigning how an existing site works without assuming every page or platform must be replaced.

BriCargo Group: a rebuild with migration planning

Africa United Logistics became BriCargo Group, creating a need for a website that reflected the new brand and its freight services. Webbies rebuilt the site around freight services and destinations, mapped old URLs to new destinations, implemented redirects and completed launch checks.

The structure helps explain both what can be shipped and where it can go. The URL work addressed a different part of the rebuild: deciding where existing links should lead when pages move. For a business changing its brand or website structure, those decisions belong in the project plan alongside design and content.

Website design and development: choose the right scope

We build new business websites, redesign existing sites and develop individual pages or functions. The right scope depends on what already works, what customers need to find and what your team needs to manage.

New business websites

A new website gives your business a place to explain its services, show relevant work and receive enquiries. We plan the pages around those tasks, write or refine content within the agreed scope, and design layouts that work across desktop and mobile.

For a B2B service business, that may mean explaining capabilities and helping a buyer prepare a useful enquiry. For a local service business, it may mean making service details, coverage and contact options easy to find. The structure follows the information your customers need.

Website redesigns and migrations

A redesign is worth considering when your site no longer reflects the business, is difficult to use on a phone or is hard to maintain. We review what should stay, what needs rewriting and whether the platform or page structure needs to change.

Useful pages do not have to disappear because the design changes. Where URLs need to move, the scope should include a page map, appropriate redirects and launch checks. Explore our website redesign services.

Web development for Oakville businesses

Development covers how the website works: its content management, forms, ecommerce features and agreed connections to other tools. We define those requirements before choosing how to build them.

WordPress can suit a business that needs to edit service pages and publish content. Ecommerce and integrations add requirements such as product information, payments or data moving between systems. We review platform suitability, access and third-party costs as part of the scope; these features are not automatically included in every website quote.

Landing pages and focused improvements

If the rest of your site works well, a new landing page or a targeted improvement may be enough. Examples include explaining a new service, improving a difficult enquiry route or fixing a mobile layout. Smaller work is quoted separately rather than automatically becoming a full rebuild.

What does website design in Oakville cost?

Webbies website and redesign projects range from CAD $3,500 for focused work to CAD $12,000+ for complex builds. The planning bands below help you compare likely scope; the final proposal sets your price.

Project scopePlanning rangeWhat drives the scope
Focused business website or redesignCAD $3,500–$6,000A focused set of pages and services, with straightforward functionality.
Larger business websiteCAD $6,000–$12,000More services or pages, a larger content requirement and more involved design or development.
Complex website or ecommerce projectFrom CAD $12,000Requirements such as ecommerce, multi-location content, custom functions or more involved integrations.

Your proposal defines the pages, content, design, development, migration work and launch checks included. Page count matters, but so do the condition of the existing site, the material available and the complexity of its functions.

Applicable taxes, hosting, premium licences, paid software and recurring third-party fees are separate unless expressly included in the proposal. Ongoing SEO and maintenance are separate scopes. Smaller updates are quoted individually.

How long will the website take?

Smaller websites with fewer pages and a few services typically take 1–2 weeks once content and account access are ready. Broader straightforward websites and redesigns typically take 2–4 weeks under the same conditions. Large or complex projects receive a project-specific schedule.

The schedule depends on the actual work and timely approvals—not the price band alone. We agree the required content, access and review points before setting a launch date.

Our website design and launch process

We agree the pages and requirements first, then prepare the content and design, build the site and check it before launch. You confirm the business details, provide the required access and review the work at the agreed points.

  1. 1. Agree the pages and requirements

We establish what the website must explain, who it serves and what visitors should be able to do. For an existing site, we review useful content and URLs before planning changes. The output is an agreed scope and page structure, with required functions and responsibilities identified.

  2. 2. Prepare the content and design

We organize the agreed content into clear page layouts: what a visitor needs to know first, which proof supports it and how to take the next step. You confirm business facts and review the work at the agreed points. Mobile layouts are considered alongside desktop use.

  3. 3. Build the agreed website

We develop the approved pages and functions, including the agreed content management and integrations. Technical foundations include meaningful headings, page titles and descriptions, useful internal links and crawlable content. We also review images, scripts and third-party tools for unnecessary weight that can slow pages down. A rebuild carries the agreed URL and redirect plan into implementation.

  4. 4. Check, launch and hand over

Before launch, we check responsive layouts, links, forms and the agreed functionality. We review accessibility basics within scope, including readable content, labelled controls and keyboard use, alongside the relevant metadata and redirect checks.

At handoff, we confirm the access and responsibilities described below. Specialist accessibility audits or certification are separate requirements to agree, not an implied outcome of every build.

Website ownership, hosting and support

Where practical, your domain and hosting stay in accounts you control. The proposal and handoff identify website access, source assets and licence terms, so you know what you can manage and which costs continue after launch.

AreaWhat to expect
Domain and hostingClient-controlled accounts where practical. Hosting is paid to the provider separately.
Website accessAdministrative access, the agreed editing setup, source assets and any licence restrictions or renewals are identified at handoff.
Launch support30 days of post-launch support within the agreed launch scope. New pages, major changes and extra functions are separate work.
Continued careOngoing maintenance is available under a separate agreement, with work and pricing matched to the website.

Handoff also identifies who is responsible for forms, analytics and backups. These responsibilities are agreed; they do not automatically become a continuing management service.

Before comparing quotes, check who handles updates, backups and renewals—not just the initial build price. Our website maintenance cost guide explains the types of ongoing costs to consider.

Questions before starting your website

Can Webbies write the website content?

Yes. We can plan and write the pages included in your agreed scope. You supply or confirm the business facts, services, prices, policies and materials we need, and approve the content before publication. Content work is defined in the proposal, so the responsibility for each page is clear.

Is ongoing SEO included in the website build?

No. The agreed build includes its specified SEO foundations, such as page structure, headings, metadata and internal links. Ongoing research, content development and search optimization are separate work. We offer SEO and local search services for businesses that need continued support; a new website alone does not guarantee rankings.

Discuss your Oakville web design project

Send us your current website, if you have one, and tell us what needs to change. Include the services or products it must explain, any required functions, and your preferred budget and timing. That gives us a useful starting point to discuss the right scope.
